"I feel that my artwork is more than paint and paper, but a way of life and expression. For almost 30 years, I have gone through the process of reflecting the life and beauty of my surroundings. In addition, I have lived in Florida all of my life and this affords me a never-ending amount of reference material." "My style is representational and predictable, but nonetheless a distinct form of artwork. As a self-taught artist, I thank God for the ability He has given me." Roxanne Tobaison has exhibited in numerous juried shows and has won many awards throughout her career, most recently receiving a Best of Show award in the National League of American Penwomen Florida State Convention. She has been painting since 1979, starting with oils and quickly finding watercolor her medium of choice.
